How to use Sparruf abroad
- If you don't have a Sparruf account yet, you must register first. Dial, for example with your German mobile phone,
0355 4949 000 .
⇒ Register now - Top up your account with enough credit
⇒ Payment - As a general rule: Do not use your German SIM-card when travelling abroad, but use a local SIM-card of the respective country instead. This is the best way to avoid the still very high roaming costs.
Outbound calls from abroad
While abroad, you can use Sparruf in the following ways:International dial-in numbers
Sparruf provides free dial-in numbers in more than 30 countries. If you have a foreign SIM-card that allows you to call landline numbers within the visited country cheaply, using our dial-in number in that country, is usually your cheapest option to call while abroad. All calls originating through international dial-in numbers are charged as if they originated from within Germany. Calling German landline numbers will therefore only cost you 3 cents per minute (plus the cost of your foreign provider to connect to the Sparruf dial-in number).⇒ International dial-in numbers

Inbound calls while abroad
Using Sparruf, you can conveniently receive all incoming calls on your foreign SIM-card or on a foreign landline number. Sparruf only charges the normal Sparruf rates for forwarding incoming calls to your foreign number. Roaming charges can thus be completly avoided.
How it works:
- Get your own personal Sparruf landline number
⇒ Personal landline number - Before your departure, give your Sparruf landline number to your friends and colleagues.
Alternatively, you can forward your mobile and landline phones to your Sparruf number.
Note:
To forward your mobile phone to your Sparruf number, you will require a Sparruf landline number from your city. Unfortunately, the free Sparruf number has too many digits and can therefore not be used as a call forwarding destination.
